On October 16, 2019, the City of Round Rock Parks & Recreation Department revealed 2 concept plans for the Behrens Ranch Greenbelt and invited residents to give input. Most people supported the development of this green space for a passive park but of course there are a few residents who back to this land that do not want anything (understandable). The City wants to put a parking lot in the community (which just about all Behrens residents oppose) and other features that are not in accordance with an agreement modifying the restrictive covenants for a "passive park" - a deal struck between Behrens Ranch leaders and the City when the City purchased the land in 2009.
